About

This is a crossover event on a cosmic scale. As poets and BIPOC writers carving out their own space in the Marvel Universe, Fatimah Asghar and Eve L. Ewing have opened up new portals between poetry and comic fantasy with their work on Ms. Marvel and Black Panther respectively. Joined by Ms. Marvel creator, screenwriter, and comedian Bisha K. Ali, we talk about making these inter-dimensional connections across forms and fictions, and how their presence in and understanding of history, identity, and community shapes the Marvel Universe they want to create.

This programme is part of the Spotlight on Asian-American Authors and is made possible with the support of the U.S. Embassy Singapore.
