What makes a character tick? What goes on in his or her mind, and how does one capture the tensions in a thriller? In this workshop, Andreas Norman – crime fiction writer and former member of the Swedish counter-terrorism unit – will give pointers and tips on how to create worlds and characters filled with psychological depth.

Former diplomat Andreas Norman was a member of a Swedish counter-terrorism unit for several years – he worked closely with foreign intelligence agencies to track terrorist groups and prevent terrorism. His 2013 debut novel, En rasande eld (Into a Raging Blaze), was shortlisted for the CWA International Dagger Award 2015; it is, alongside his 2017 second novel De Otrogna (Silent War), being adapted for TV.Andreas Norman is featured in the following SWF event(s):
