Is your Mother Tongue almost like a foreign language to you? How do you then begin to help your child who may be struggling to learn? Diana Ser, presenter and founder of the platform, Crazy About Chinese, speaks with Rilla Melati, author and co-founder of the education outreach enterprise, Mini Monsters, to explore ways to facilitate learning your Mother Tongue.

Diana Ser is a veteran presenter and former broadcast journalist with some 20 years’ experience in the media industry. She is best known for producing and presenting ‘Get Real’, Channel NewsAsia’s award-winning investigative current affairs show. She is married with three children and currently runs online portal Crazy About Chinese, which encourages parents to teach their children the Chinese language through daily activities.
Rilla Melati membina kandungan kreatif untuk bilik darjah dan juga televisyen. Beliau adalah seorang pendidik, pengarang, pengusaha, penghibur dan perintis program pengucapan dan drama Melayu di sekolah-sekolah di Singapura. Beliau telah menghasilkan lebih daripada 20 buah karya untuk kanak-kanak. Pada masa ini, Rilla adalah pengarah Mini Monsters Limited, sebuah syarikat pendidikan yang ditubuhkan pada tahun 2009 untuk menggalakkan pembelajaran semula bahasa Melayu.
Rilla Melati builds creative content for the classroom and television. She is an educator, author, entrepreneur and entertainer, and a pioneer of Malay speech and drama programmes in schools in Singapore. She has written more than 20 children’s titles. At present, Rilla is the director of Mini Monsters Limited, an educational company she founded in 2009 to encourage a re-learning of the Malay language.
