DESCRIPTION

Words have a transformative power in helping with coping, confronting, and healing. Three writers discuss how the writing of one's interior worlds has had an impact on how they process challenges in life. What is it about putting pen to paper that cultivates an understanding of one's self?

Fairoz is the co-founder of the award-winning social enterprise, Chapter W. He graduated from Oxford University with a Master of Public Policy (Distinction). His collection of short stories, Interpreter of Winds, was published by Ethos Books in 2019. The book reflects his observations of growing up Muslim in a world where people fail to understand one another, and his belief that the magic and richness of one's culture, as well as its eccentricities, can help narrow this gap in understanding.
