How do content creators reach youth who increasingly turn to Instagram, YouTube and other social media platforms for entertainment? From experimental video content to visual magazines, find out more about this world and its strategies from three speakers who share insights and discuss writing and developing narratives for new media.
This session is conceptualised by SWF Youth Curators and co-presented with Singapore Book Council.
Johnathan is a host of Real Talk, a playlist by Millennials of Singapore. He is the Co-Founder and Business Director of GRVTY Media, which owns and operates eight media brands in Southeast Asia including Vulcan Post.
Ng Kai Yuan
Kai Yuan is the co-founder and director of business development of Our Grandfather Story, a digital video publisher that documents, curates and retells timeless stories across Southeast Asia. As a multimedia storyteller, he is dedicated to exploring different ways to bring stories to the audience in the online space. He believes that there are endless possibilities to bring content to the audience in this ever-changing media landscape.
Tan Hui Er
Hui Er is the co-founder of Not Safe For TV - an online visual magazine for experimental video content. Alongside NSFTV, she explores alternative perspectives and progresses the boundaries of online content in the regional landscape. Being a multi-disciplinary creator, her work questions the intersections of different forms of storytelling.
