Be transported into a trance-like state as performing artists Moe Clark and Bani Haykal enchant you with skillful displays of audio manipulation and poetic words. They will each present work that speaks to issues close to their creative practice. The session will be followed by an audience Q&A.

Métis performing artist Moe Clark draws from multilingual lyricism to create meaning rooted in personal legacy. She facilitates creative workshops, produces festivals, and mentors indigenous youth. With two albums of words and music, a bilingual book of poetry, multiple videos, and over 100 performances, her work is known worldwide. www.moeclark.ca

As an artist, composer, and musician, Bani’s research interests culminate in works of various forms including installation, poetry, and performance, revolving around modes of interfacing and interaction in feedback / feedforward mechanisms. He is a member of b-quartet and Soundpainting ensemble Erik Satay & The Kampong Arkestra. In his capacity as a collaborator and a soloist, Bani has participated in festivals including Media/Art Kitchen (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Japan), Liquid Architecture, and Singapore International Festival of Arts (Singapore) among others.Bani Haykal is featured in the following SWF event(s):
