With narrative based video games needing to not only tell a cohesive story, but to keep in mind a player’s ability to interact with the world, how do video game writers stay mindful of the level of immersion players require? This lecture and Q&A will address the differences in the way video games present their stories and themes compared to other forms of storytelling, and how the story can be told through gameplay elements. This session is for aspiring game story writers.
This session is conceptualised by SWF Youth Curators and co-presented with Singapore Book Council.
