DESCRIPTION

In this meet-the-author session, Singapore-born New York-based author Amanda Lee Koe speaks about her identity, her process, her influences, and her work, spanning Delayed Rays of A Star—a sprawling work of historical fiction following three cinematic icons: screen legend Marlene Dietrich, Hollywood's first Chinese-American actress Anna May Wong, and German actress-Nazi propagandist Leni Riefenstahl—to Ministry of Moral Panic, an inventive and irreverent short story collection exploring the underbelly of contemporary Singaporean identity.
