Deesha Menon

Deesha (she/her) currently manages The Youth Are Rising (TYAR), a mental health writing therapy community group. She previously sat on the Board of Directors of the Inter-Uni LGBT Network when she helmed tFreedom and she was involved in co-organising the Global Migrant Festival and Migrant Worker Poetry Competition in 2018. She was also featured in Mahogany Journal's inaugural issue this year. At the heart of Deesha's advocacy work lies the need to remap class and recenter oppression, so as to ask and answer questions about the systems and structures we have built.
