Paul McVeigh was born in Belfast. His work has been performed on stage, radio and television, published in print, and translated into seven languages. He started out as a playwright, with comedy shows performed at the Edinburgh Festival and the West End. He then turned to prose, with short stories published in journals and anthologies and read on BBC radio. The Good Son (2015), Paul’s first novel, won the Polari First Book Prize and the McCrea Literary Award.
