Kamal Al-Solaylee is a Canadian non-fiction author, professor, and journalist. His first book, Intolerable, won the Toronto Book Award in 2013. His second, Brown, won the Shaughnessy Cohen Prize for Political Writing in 2017. He holds a PhD in English from Nottingham University and is a professor of journalism at Ryerson University in Toronto.
