Etgar Keret

Israel

Born in Ramat Gan, Israel in 1967, Etgar Keret’s books have been translated into more than 40 languages. His writing has appeared in The New York Times, Le Monde, The New Yorker, The Paris Review and elsewhere. His film Jellyfish (2007), co-directed with his wife Shira Geffen, won the Camera d’Or Award at Cannes. He was named Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in France in 2010, and in 2016 received the Charles Bronfman Prize for Jewish humanitarians.
