Apply to be an F&B vendor at Singapore Writers Festival (SWF) 2018!

SWF runs from 2 to 11 November this year and in 2017 drew a total audience of over 20,000. The festival is held at the Civic District with The Arts House as our key venue partner. Our multi-lingual and multi-disciplinary programmes range from panels, workshops, lectures and performances. There are over 250 free and paid events for a wide range of audience, including families with young children, youths and working professionals.


The SWF food stalls will be situated near The Arts House Lawn and will be required to be open at the respective operating hours.

  • Halal certified, Muslim owned or Halal friendly
  • Able to provide food at an affordable price-points (≤$12)
  • Able to offer vegan/vegetarian options


  • Able to provide affordable coffee, tea and other cold drinks which are reasonably priced (≤$6)


We are looking for 2 Food vendors, 1 Drink vendor and up to 3 pre-packed food vendors.

As SWF is making moves towards being more eco-conscious, applicants with eco-friendly measures, such as the use of biodegradable containers, will be given priority.

There will be a vendor selling reusable containers at the festival and vendors should also be open to serving patrons who bring their own.


Please read the following Terms and Conditions before signing up for a booth.

  1. This is a rain or shine event.
  2. All participating vendors are required to possess the necessary food sale licenses including NEA certificate and valid food hygiene certificate of all food handlers.
  3. Vendors offering halal certified food must be certified by MUIS.
  4. Please keep your area clean and dispose of your rubbish in the allocated bins.
  5. The booth spaces are assigned by SWF according to the types of food sold.
  6. We offer a sheltered space, 2 GS tables, 2 chairs and 1 power point. Requests for additional equipment are subject to approval and must be relayed to the SWF team at the time of registration.
  7. SWF will not be liable for any damages and loss of items.
  8. All booths should be cleared by 5.30pm on 11 Nov, Sunday.
  9. All profits from sales will be kept by you; SWF does not take a cut.
  10. All necessary documents are to be submitted to SWF upon confirmation by 10 September 2018.
  11. There is no parking on-site at The Arts House. The nearest parking is available at Parliament House, National Gallery Singapore or The Adelphi. Should you require loading/unloading, please inform us of the car plate number and estimated time of arrival by 29 October 2018, 12pm after you are confirmed as a vendor.
  12. A deposit fee of $100 will be collected, which is refundable at the end of the event provided that the stalls have satisfied the above criteria.
  13. The deposit will be forfeited if the vendor cancels within less than 6 weeks to the festival or does not meet the above criteria.
  14. SWF reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove any portion of these terms and conditions, in whole or in part, at any time.
