Mohd Nor Bin Khalid, or Lat as he is better known, has been the editorial cartoonist for the New Straits Times (NST) newspaper for the last 35 years. Since 1977, he has published more than 20 cartoon books, including Kampung Boy (1979) and Town Boy (1980). His cartoons, which currently appear on the editorial page of NST every Monday, have been translated into various languages and published in Europe, the Americas and other parts of Asia.


What book would you like to snuggle under covers with, and why?
“Any book by Spike Milligan..[though] he's hilarious, I'd like to seek for the melancholic side of the man.”
