Bio
Raised on a literary diet of Enid Blyton and Judy Blume, Sharon grew up wondering why the stories of people she knew were not captured in books, when those stories were large enough to fill many magical pages of her childhood. Her curiosity resulted in a passion to get these voices heard, especially by children, who have benefited from a diversity of cultures in their lives and cannot imagine the adults they love as children. Sharon has worked on stage and television as an actor and host, and as an educator from primary to university levels for a decade. Her first children’s book is What Sallamah Didn’t Know.

What book would you like to snuggle under covers with, and why?
"The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, because at the end of every day, I like to take stock if I have been a better person than the day before. Scatter-brained since my first pregnancy, I need constant visual reminders to keep focused. Now, where did I put that book?"
