Taichi Yamada

Bio
One of Japan’s most respected writers, Taichi Yamada has won many awards for literary excellence from private organisations and the Japanese government. In 1958, after having studied Japanese Literature at Waseda University, he started work at the Shochiku Film Company. In 1965, he left Shochiku to embark on a career as an independent screenplay writer. While he is best known for his scripts for TV dramas like Pieces of Autumn and The Precious Moment, he has also written many novels and plays. His novels include Strangers (translated into English in 2004) and I Haven't Dreamed of Flying for a While (2008).

“I like Aphorisms, and I would love to snuggle under covers with works from writers such as Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, German philosopher Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, French writer Alain de Benoist and British philosopher and logician Bertrand Arthur William Russell.”
