Eat your words! Get up close and personal with writers over a meal or a drink. Authors will host a party of up to 25 guests, or an intimate session with 10.

The SWF Publishing Symposium is a two-day seminar of stimulating dialogue and discussion about the world of publishing, writing and selling your work.

In this series of workshops, we present experts in their respective fields who will offer invaluable guidance and practical tips to writers who wish to take their craft to the next level, and those who are just starting out on their journey.

This year, learn from the masters on topics ranging from Latin and Baba Malay, to young fiction, graphic novels, and writing about fashion, for the stage and for television.

Be inspired by lectures from noteworthy literary talents, thought-leaders and writers who have impacted genres such as fiction, non-fiction, manga, anime, films, video games and more.
FESTIVAL PASS EVENTS
Chaired panel discussions with writers who will share the ideas and inspirations behind their works. Expect insightful, thought-provoking and emotionally-charged conversations at these lively sessions.
Discover how to bring words to life with these sessions on writing and adapting for screen. These events will feature film screenings.
Held at The Arts House, the Fringe will explore the Origins of Desire. The SWF Fringe seeks to examine the different facets of desire in the literary arts, and the manifestation of sexuality in books, films, performances and the visual arts.
Two authors take turns to be interviewer and interviewee as they engage in conversation about their perspectives, their works, their journeys as writers and any common ground that they may share. Be privy to a fascinating meeting of the minds.

Celebrate the launch of exciting new books, as the festival assembles a diverse line-up of new titles across different genres. You'll learn more about the experiences and inspirations that go on behind every book as revealed by emerging and established writers from Singapore and around the globe.
FREE EVENTS FOR THE
KIDS AND THE WHOLE FAMILY
Programmes for children only - and sometimes parents are allowed too! There are meet-the-author sessions, activities and storytelling for the young and the young-at-heart.

Staged for the public for the first time in Singapore, this play is a moving story of one family, their origins and their deep connection to a unique and rich culture.

As more of the world's population relocate to the cities, so the city figures more largely in the imagination of poets and writers. For this Chinese conference, veteran writers from Singapore and beyond share how the city has touched their souls and invaded their memories.

To mark the centenary of Tamil literature pioneer Dr M Varadarajan, this Tamil seminar brings together writers and scholars to commemorate his works.
